George Antuna
George Antuna Jr. works in the financial services industry and was a candidate for the Texas House of Representatives. He also worked for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison as Regional Director for San Antonio, South Central Texas and El Paso. Prior public service included being Director of Protocol for then Texas Secretary of State, Henry Cuellar, and Policy Analyst of Workforce Development, Economic Development and International Relations for then Lt. Governor Rick Perry.
He also serves on the boards of Texas Workforce Commission’s Workforce Solutions Alamo (former Alamo Workforce Board), and Guadalupe County Child Advocacy Center and is very involved with the Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD, and other political and charitable organizations within Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe Counties.
Mr. Antuna was appointed to the council of the City of Schertz on August 10, 2010. Mr. Antuna was born just south of San Antonio in Karnes City, Texas. Mr. Antuna and his family moved to San Antonio’s south side where he graduated from South San Antonio High School in 1986. He attended San Antonio College from 1986 to 1988 then transferred to the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with his BBA in Marketing Management.
Mr. Antuna lives in Schertz with his wife and their 3 sons.
